SAMS stands for Students Academic Management System. It has two components e-Admission & e-Administration.
SAMS presently supports online admission for Higher Secondary, Degree, Post-graduations, B.Ed, B.H.Ed & M.Ed., ITI, Diploma, PDIS, Teacher Education, Physical Education,
correspondence and Music, Dance & Drama Education institutions.
e-Admission is nothing but online admission carried out for various courses (as answered in the ques-1) of Odisha. The detailed process of admission is explained in the Information Brochure/Common Prospectus available separately for different courses.

The Common Application Form (CAF) can be accessed on the website
www.samsodisha.gov.in along with
the Information brochure which guides you to apply the CAF correctly.
Yes, you need to apply online through the CAF following the guidelines of the information brochure,
take print copies of the Applicant CAF and Keep
it with you for further Process at the time of admission.
You can access the Individual Institutions Profiles available on the website and get various details such as Institute name, Principal Name & Contact numbers.
A candidate is permitted minimum & maximum 68 nos.of options for D.El.Ed. course.
For all 67 institutions, the fee is ₹2,800.00 (excluding hostel fees).
At Thompson Women’s Training Institute, Cuttack, the fee is ₹18,512.00 (excluding hostel fees).
Only a single Course i.e. D.El.Ed.
No. The selection will be conducted on the basis of Entrance Mark & reservations. Candidates will be selected against the Institution which they have applied, but admission will happen in one Institution.

Yes, you can modify the CAF one time, based on OTP verification after submission, as per the scheduled deadline
The D.El.Ed. course Entrance Exam Syllabus is available in the information brochure for the applicants.
The merit lists shall be published on the scheduled date & time in the website www.samsodisha.gov.in for information of public. You will also be intimated about your status exclusively through SMS, Email & WhatsApp about the selection status. You can also download the intimation letter from your students log in.
List of the documents required will be given in the Intimation Letter. Arrange all the requisites documents / papers for admission such as original certificates for verification, photo and admission fees & report to the Principal of the destination Institutions on the scheduled date & time.
First, you need to apply for the CAF and then appear for the Online Computer Based Test (CBT). If you are selected, you will be notified through SMS, WhatsApp, Email, and Call for qualifying in the medical assessment board for verification of the genuineness of the certificate of benchmark disability. If you qualify, you will be admitted as a regular student in your selected Institution.
When an applicant admitted to an institution and opts for higher preference,
he/she applies for Slide-up,

upper institute login where he wants to take admission.
Candidates who have represented Odisha in National School Games (SGFI) or represented Odisha/India
in national/international championships organized by recognized federations.
• SGFI certificates must be countersigned by the Director, Secondary Education or relevant board authorities.
• For national/international certificates, candidates can apply for a weightage certificate at sports.odisha.gov.in by creating a Player Profile.

The Ex-Serviceman, his son, unmarried daughter, or spouse can apply.
A valid certificate from the Zilla Sainik Board or Rajya Sainik Board, Odisha must be submitted, detailing the service and relationship with the applicant.
Only SC/ST candidates who are permanent residents of the districts where BIETs are located—Mayurbhanj,
Nawarangpur, Rayagada, and Sundargarhcan apply under the BIET quota.
Candidates who can read and write Santali are eligible. They must take the language section of
the entrance test in Santali and the shortlisted candidates
will appear reading and writing test before the expert committee of DIET, Mayurbhanja,
Baripada before final admission.
Candidates who have studied Telugu as MIL at the HSC level are eligible.
This quota is offered at ETEI, Chikiti, Ganjam.
Candidates who have studied Urdu as MIL at the HSC level are eligible.
Seats are available at ETEI (Urdu), Cuttack and ETEI, Pahimahura (Urdu).
Only women candidates belonging to the Christian Minority or Dalit Christian community
can apply. Admission is available at Thompson Women’s Training School, Cuttack.
Candidates who are permanent residents of Kandhamal district are eligible.
Seats are available at ETEI, Phulbani and ETEI, Baliguda.
Candidates from Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh who Studied up
to HSC level in their state, andPassed Odia as a subject or the Single Subject
Odia Exam by BSE, Odisha are eligible. They must also submit a residential
certificate issued by competent authority of their state.
